Time after time.

After some time without posting I'm back here on a Friday night typing shit no one will ever read. Thus proving I have no life and I'm pretty much a loner. Been listening to way to much Minor Threat, Watching way to much Future Weapons and playing way to much Crysis. But what can I say, Discovery channel has radical tv programing, Ian Mackaye is a lyrical genius and Crytek know how to make a mean FPS.

Just received the AM:PM dvd and Banned 3 so here's a quick review.

Banned 3 is as expected. Raw,dirty and straight up how bmx should be. Notable parts from Colt fake, Patrick King and Kyle Painter.

AM:PM, Best bmx movie of 2009. Totally DIY from the filming to the case and disc art which was done with what looks like a household printer and a black permanent marker. Also every copy is hand numbered which i find a perfect touch(yours truly #697). So refreshing to watch this amidst all this hi-def, corporate big budget bullshit(cough Levis, cough Odyssey). Finally the U.S. has a video that stands up to Joe Cox's work.

Respect to the Wu!

I agree 100% with what Method Man and Redman said in this. $55000 (approx $67000 AUD) a month for child support is bullshit.

For all the youngsters out there who only know shit post-2007, here's a history lesson.

Lou Rajsich, this dude was way ahead of his time, not only his riding (first to pull a opposite fakie double peg down a rail) but also his dress sense among other riders/mainstream society at the time(a sort of cross between Fonzie and Morrissey's look circa 1985) .


So after breaking both wrist on the final gap(watch the video for reference) he dissappeared pretty much. Apparently he now plays piano in a bar. Sweet.

Hopefully during my time on earth there is an apocalyptic zombie pandemic in which i could become a mercenary. That would be rad. As long as the zombies aren't like this. Or those from 28 Days Later/ 28 Weeks. I want the Shawn of the Dead type.

So while rummaging through Michael's winnings from the Caloundra bmx comp, (which i did not attend since i keep it real) We discovered a picture in the Unit catalogue which is quite unpleasant.

Honestly, what kind of clothing brand marketed for people aged 14-24 promotes smoking? I know 95% of their target audience resides in Logan but come on. Maybe they thought they'd help raise some money for the government by influencing more kids to take up smoking. Hopefully i can take this somewhere that can take action against Unit. Most likely won't due to being naturally lazy but we'll see. Saying that i would like to see Unit lose some money from it though. I'd be one step closer to destroying the brand that i hate so much.

Also one more thing. If your going to hire models to show your bikini line, Do not hire women that when wearing said product the strap cuts into the body and exposes their fat. That shit is Grotesque!

So apparently there is a comp at Caloundra Skatepark in the not to distant future. With one of the main sponsors, UNIT, the clothing for people who want to be The Biggest Douche in the Universe. How exciting.

In other Caloundra Skatepark news, the super rad Stirling Harper has put forward that it is a load of shit for people to pay $4.20 to use a public skatepark. Although i highly doubt it since the council and Caloundra Aquatic Centre is quite happy making money off something that they can invest barely any money into.
